I spent
at least an hour and a half in Borders sitting in the travel section with a book on Iceland, reciting phrases and interesting facts to Shannen, Beth, and Jen. I’ve been doing the same thing to my mom for two hours. I’ve never wanted to go somewhere this badly.

I never tire of this question. My favorites of the year came from The Flaming Lips, Andrew Bird, Animal Collective, Portugal. The Man, Telefon Tel Aviv, Jonsi & Alex, Grizzly Bear, mewithoutYou, The Antlers, Atlas Sound, The Decemberists, Conor Oberst and the Mystic Valley Band, Monsters of Folk, and a ridiculous amount of others.
I feel like I'm the only one without one of these.
